Continue the approved design at /home/breadway/Projects/bos-ui-demos/proposed/bos-settings-v2/index.html on feature/bos-settings-v2, carrying forward Claude Code's feature/settings-v2 fixes.
Scope: responsive shell; Connect, Devices, Personalise, Apps and System navigation; settings search; unsaved edit protection; dashboard; new pages and existing settings reorganised to match the proposal. Inventory all existing capabilities and preserve CLI aliases. Report every removed, hidden or narrowed capability for the user's decision.
Validation: frontend check/build and Rust checks. The user will test the UI. Do not launch the app, use Hyprland or interact with the desktop.
Related defects: BSET-26, BSET-30, BSET-33, BSET-34, BSET-35. Earlier display, night light, sound, keyboard and battery fixes are already included in the recovered branch. Keep the remaining work explicit and do not mark it done until verified.
Implementation checkpoint pushed on feature/bos-settings-v2 and opened as PR #46: #46. Recovered the stopped Claude transcript and prior feature/settings-v2 work. BSET-26/30/33/34/35 are implemented and moved to review for user UI testing. Current main snapshot restore is included. Local verification passes: frontend check (0 errors/warnings), all frontend tests including restore, production build, Rust fmt/clippy, 122 Rust tests and debug build. CI lint failure was corrected and the rerun is pending. Remaining proposal work is tracked by BSET-44, with notification preferences dependent on BAR-56. Capability changes and manual checks are documented in docs/v2-progress.md. No app window or desktop testing was performed.

02177cf: formatting, Clippy against dependency main and all 122 Rust tests passed. PR #46 and the five implemented bug issues are in Review. 02177cf. All 16 generated frontend JS/CSS/JSON assets match byte for byte after decompressing embedded assets, so this is the current build. Confirmed mismatches include Home quick controls, Power modes/timers/lid, notification preferences, unified app discovery, backup timeline/picker, locale controls, accessibility controls, startup app picker, account footer and shared typography/theme/layout. Detailed evidence is recorded locally in docs/v2-proposal-verification.md. Static comparison rejects exact parity; rendered pixel accuracy remains unverified. No app or desktop was launched. Remaining work stays on BSET-44, BSET-32 and BAR-56.The gaps identified by the binary audit have been implemented and pushed in PR #46. Companion breadbar PR #57 supplies the consumed notification preferences, clock and bar text integration and has green CI. BSET-44, BSET-32 and BAR-56 are in Review.

All 23 frontend code/style/font/license assets match the executable after Brotli decompression. Frontend checks/tests/build pass, Rust fmt/clippy pass, and 134 Settings tests pass. The companion bar has 24 headless notification tests.
No UI launch or live configuration writes were used. The parent remains Doing for the user's rendered UI acceptance. Exact pixels and mockup sample values are not claimed; hardware/service requirements, secure lock surfaces and overlapping Btrfs directory usage are documented in docs/v2-proposal-verification.md. Build paths/checksums are in docs/v2-build-report.md.
Final verification is green at
fc199b2aab(Forgejo Settings run #125). Formatting, clippy with warnings denied and all 134 tests passed. The generated Lua test now uses a vendored test-only interpreter instead of requiring a system Lua executable.
