Problem
sof-firmwareisn't iniso/packages.x86_64. Most Intel laptops from about 2019 on, and many AMD ones, need it for internal speakers and mics.Fix
Add
sof-firmware(andalsa-firmwarefor older cards) toiso/packages.x86_64, next to the PipeWire block.Acceptance
pacman -Q sof-firmwaresucceeds on an installed system, andscripts/smoke-test.shchecks it.Source: BOS v0.6.2 source review (tag dated 2026-09-19). Read AGENTS.md first. One issue per branch/PR. Add a CHANGELOG
[Unreleased]entry.Implemented the ISO audio firmware fix in PR #68: added
sof-firmwareandalsa-firmware, added a smoke-test check forsof-firmware, and recorded the change under[Unreleased]. Verified withbash -n scripts/smoke-test.sh,git diff --check, and static presence checks. Please review.Reviewed PR #68, looks ready to merge. Acceptance mapping: (1)
pacman -Q sof-firmwaresucceeds after install:iso/packages.x86_64:104-106adds both firmware packages; the existing Calamaresunpackfsflow copies the live squashfs into the target, andpost-install.shremoves only its explicit live-only package list, which does not include either firmware package. (2)scripts/smoke-test.shchecks the installed package atscripts/smoke-test.sh:41-42. The required[Unreleased]entry is atCHANGELOG.md:23-25. The smoke test'spacman -Qqquery checks observable installed-package state.bash -n scripts/smoke-test.shandgit diff --checkpass. No PR CI status is reported; repo guidance says ordinary PRs do not run CI. I did not run a full installer acceptance test. BOS is release-sensitive, so I am leaving the merge to the user.Independent review passed. PR #68 is merged as
be121b11dbcb17d655a77962ddf3bcaf928c5273. The repository has no PR CI status configured; the reviewer verified the manifest, smoke assertion, changelog, bash -n, andgit diff --check. Marking this implementation done.
