Delete branch "fix/mon-11-rc-cache-cleanup"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Removes the shared wildcard cleanup from the beta index workflow, uses a prefix that older workflows do not match, and cleans only this job's clone on exit.
Verified workflow YAML and shell syntax. Simulated success and failure index generation; the job clone was cleaned and a sibling legacy-prefix checkout remained intact.
Closes #11
Synced from #12, closing MON-11. The isolated success/failure acceptance and diff checks pass. Forgejo CI is running, so this PR card remains TODO until CI and independent source review complete.
PR #12 passes local YAML and shell checks plus success/failure cleanup simulations with a legacy-prefix sibling preserved. Forgejo CI was queued at last check. Moving to REVIEW for independent review; if CI fails, return it to TODO with the failure recorded.
Forgejo CI passed in 5m45s on head
2b9f1cfe68900ed8dbc21d111b7c71420e2679fb. The acceptance harness passed for success and failure, preserving the active legacy-prefix sibling. Moving this linked PR card to REVIEW.Not merged: obsolete.
mainhas deprecated breadmon and retired its release jobs (#13), so.forgejo/workflows/rc-release.ymlno longer exists and this branch conflicts (modify/delete). No code change needed; suggest closing this PR and the MON-11 card.Closing as obsolete. MON-13 (breadmon #13) retired breadmon's release jobs, and main now keeps only
.forgejo/workflows/check.yml:rc-release.ymlandrelease.ymlare gone, and no workflow on main referencesbread-ecosystem-citemp paths any more. The shared-cleanup race this PR fixed is no longer reachable in this repository, so the breadmon child of ECO-56 resolves by removal instead of by this PR.The branch was based on the pre-deprecation main, where the race still existed; the change itself (distinct
/tmp/bread-index-*prefix plus an EXIT trap, deliberately outside the legacy wildcard's match set) was the strongest of the per-repo variants reviewed, so nothing is lost by retiring it with the workflows it targeted.Pull request closed
